Perforated Stainless Steel for Commercial Production
Get the Best for What You Do
When your application demands corrosion resistance, hygiene compliance, or exposure to harsh environments, stainless steel is the material that holds up. Canada Perforating manufactures perforated stainless steel sheet and coil in 304 and 316 grades, with hundreds of standard patterns in stock and full custom perforation capability for OEM and volume orders. As Canada’s largest full-service perforator, we process stainless in-house at our 64,000 sq ft facility in Fort Erie, Ontario — with no cross-border delays, no customs risk, and lead times that US suppliers can’t match. Whether you’re specifying for food processing equipment, pharmaceutical enclosures, HVAC diffusers, or architectural cladding, our team will help you select the right grade, gauge, and open area for your application.
Why Choose Canada Perforating?
Benefits of Perforated Stainless Steel
Canada Perforating Inc. takes pride in our team of expert metalworkers. Your clients will notice the difference when you work with personal, professional, and knowledgeable perforators.
We carry perforated stainless steel sheet in both 304 and 316 grades across a wide range of gauges and hole patterns. 304 is the workhorse grade for most indoor and moderate-exposure applications. 316 adds molybdenum for superior chloride resistance. This is the standard choice for food processing, marine environments, and pharmaceutical applications.
Canada Perforating is one of the only perforators in Canada offering coil-to-coil stainless processing. For OEMs and manufacturers with ongoing volume requirements, this means consistent perforation quality across long runs, tighter tolerances, and faster turnaround than sheet-only operations. If your production line depends on a reliable stainless perforated component, this capability matters.
Standard patterns not meeting your spec? We manufacture custom perforation dies in-house. If your application requires a proprietary hole size, pattern geometry, or open area percentage that isn't available off the shelf, we can produce it.
Importing perforated stainless steel from the US or offshore adds customs clearance time, tariff risk, and supply chain uncertainty that Canadian buyers are increasingly looking to avoid. Our stainless perforated products are used in food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, HVAC and ventilation systems, architectural facades, noise control enclosures, and filtration applications.
Stainless Perforated Metal — FAQ
Everything you need to know before you specify or order. Don't see your question? Contact our team directly.
304 stainless is the most widely used grade — suitable for most indoor applications, light corrosion environments, and applications where contact with chlorides is minimal.
316 stainless contains added molybdenum, which significantly improves resistance to chloride-induced corrosion and pitting. 316 is the standard specification for food processing equipment, pharmaceutical environments, coastal or marine applications, and anywhere the material will be regularly exposed to salt, cleaning chemicals, or aggressive washdown procedures.
If you are unsure which grade fits your application, our team can help you decide based on your environment and compliance requirements.
We stock stainless perforated sheet across a range of standard gauges. Common thicknesses include 16 gauge, 14 gauge, 12 gauge, and 11 gauge, though availability varies by pattern and grade.
For custom orders and coil processing, we can work with your specific thickness requirements. Contact us with your gauge and material spec and we'll confirm availability and lead time.
Yes. We manufacture custom perforation dies in-house, which means we are not limited to our standard pattern catalog. If your application requires a specific hole diameter, hole shape, pitch, or open area percentage — or if you need a proprietary pattern for an OEM component — we can develop a custom die and produce to your specification.
Lead times for custom tooling vary depending on complexity. Reach out early in your project timeline so we can plan accordingly.
Yes. Canada Perforating offers coil-to-coil and coil-to-sheet stainless perforating — one of the few Canadian facilities capable of this. Coil processing is ideal for high-volume and ongoing production requirements where consistency and turnaround time are priorities.
If your production line requires a continuous supply of perforated stainless coil, contact us to discuss volume, gauge, and pattern requirements.
Stainless perforated sheet is used across a wide range of demanding industries. In food and beverage processing, 316 stainless is specified for drainage panels, conveyor components, and equipment enclosures that must withstand regular chemical washdowns.
In HVAC and ventilation, stainless diffuser panels offer corrosion resistance in humid or chemically active environments. Architectural applications use stainless for facades, sunshades, and interior feature panels where longevity and appearance matter. Pharmaceutical and medical applications require 316 for its hygiene and corrosion properties. Filtration, noise control, and mining screen applications also commonly specify stainless for its durability.
Use our RFQ form and include: your material grade (304 or 316), gauge or thickness, sheet or coil requirement, hole pattern (or describe the open area and hole size you need), quantity, and any applicable standards or tolerances.
The more detail you can provide, the faster we can turn around an accurate quote. We typically respond to RFQ submissions within one business day.
